Todd Maderis, ND, MSOM

Todd Maderis, N.D., L.Ac. earned his Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine degree from National College of Natural Medicine (NCNM). He received a Master of Science in Oriental Medicine degree from the Classical Chinese Medicine Department at NCNM. Having both a western and a Chinese medical background allows Dr. Maderis to have a unique perspective on health and healing.

Dr. Maderis maintains a general internal medical practice with a focus on endocrine disorders such as adrenal, thyroid, menopause/perimenopause and other hormonal imbalances. He often uses Bio-identical hormones and acupuncture to treat these imbalances. Dr. Maderis commonly treats people with complaints of fatigue, insomnia, depression, migraines, menopausal symptoms, gastrointestinal issues and autoimmune diseases.

With over 10 years of work in the natural medicine field, Todd holds that every person can live in optimal physical, mental/emotional, and spiritual health – not merely in the absence of disease. Accordingly, he focuses on discovering the cause of one’s illness and directing therapies towards the imbalance. This is not always an easy task, but the results are long-lasting. Through his approach, people feel much better than if just their symptoms were treated. Dr. Maderis believes in harnessing the human body’s amazing ability to heal itself. “Just the way your body can fix a broken bone, it has the capacity to heal less obvious conditions if you are able to treat causes, get at the appropriate mechanisms, remove obstacles, and give your body the right opportunity.”

Dr. Maderis is a member of the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians and the California Naturopathic Doctors Association. He regularly attends medical conferences on the most safe, effective natural approaches to health. He lives in Marin County with his wife and two children.
