What to Expect

The art of medicine requires a complete understanding of all the factors that may contribute to your health and well-being, so open dialogue with your doctor is encouraged. At your first office visit, you and your doctor will review your medical history and discuss your current health concerns. You will establish your health priorities and goals for the work with your doctor. Your doctor will order diagnostic laboratory tests to provide a complete understanding of your health. If you have had recent lab work, please upload relevant results in our portal prior to your visit. We will spend an hour to an hour and a half with you during your first office visit.

New Patient Forms

Once you have scheduled your first office visit, you will receive instructions on how to log into our Electronic Medical Records (EMR) Patient Portal. Our EMR portal will enable you to conveniently fill out our New Patient Intake and other forms prior to your appointment.  We require all new patient questionnaires to be completed at least 24 hours prior to your appointment. This allows your doctor to review your health history before meeting with you.

Return Visits

Your doctor will determine the frequency of your return visits based on diagnosis, treatment plans, health goals, and appropriate management of your care. Follow-up testing may also be performed and results reviewed during your visits. Return visits range from 30-60 minutes. Please note any observations, symptoms that have improved or worsened, and questions you would like to address since your previous visit.  We find it helpful when patients keep a symptom journal between visits to improve outcomes.

Payment and Insurance

When you schedule your first office visit, we will request a credit card number to make a deposit for your appointment. Payment in full is due at the time of service, and your deposit will be applied to your charges. Please see our Policies page for our reschedule/cancellation policy. Office visit fees are listed on your doctor’s Biography page. Our office accepts cash, checks, Visa, MasterCard, and American Express. We also accept payment from your Health Savings Account (HSA) or Flexible Spending Account (FSA).

The doctors at Marin Natural Medicine Clinic are out-of-network providers with insurance companies. We can provide you an invoice with diagnostic and procedure codes to submit to your insurance for reimbursement. Please contact your insurance company to determine reimbursement rates. Because we are not contracted with any insurance company, your doctor is allowed to make medical decisions based on the best possible care for you, rather than what is required by your insurance.

Supplement Refills

To refill the supplements prescribed from our natural pharmacy, please log into your patient portal and click ‘Online Store’ in the upper blue panel. You can pick up your refills at the clinic, or we can mail them to you. You may also call or email our office to place an order. Unopened supplements purchased within seven (7) days can be returned for clinic credit only.

Thank you for choosing Marin Natural Medicine Clinic for your healthcare needs. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us. We look forward to meeting you and to providing you with the highest quality care!
