Dr. Sheila Wagner is a naturopathic doctor, orthopedic physical therapist, certified nutrition specialist and a functional medicine practitioner certified by the Institute for Functional Medicine. Her 30 years in health care have honed a special interest in assessing and treating multifaceted health and pain conditions which have been stubborn to change. Dr. Wagner has found that chronic infections, metabolic and hormonal imbalances, environmental toxic burdens and immune dysregulation are often connected and form the foundation of long standing, hard to resolve illness, pain and cognitive decline.

Dr. Wagner knows that being heard is the first step to healing which is why she starts by carefully listening to your health story. Skilled physical examination and state-of-the-art laboratory investigations are done in order to determine key disruptions in a patient’s physiology and function. Treatment plans are established in a step-wise manner to insure a ‘no stone unturned’ approach and to teach each patient how to successfully implement powerfully therapeutic lifestyle and dietary changes.

Herbal, nutritional and homeopathic medicine are included in Dr. Wagner’s treatment plans along with ozone and nutrient IV therapies. Dr. Wagner’s long standing clinical experience in orthopedic physical therapy have afforded her the ability to become adept at regenerative injection therapies as a naturopathic doctor. Whether one experiences joint instability, chronic pain or dysfunction from progressive joint wear and tear, prolotherapy and/or platelet rich plasma injections have proven for many patients a successful treatment approach to restore a pain free active lifestyle. Trigger point, perineural and scar release injections may also be helpful when resolving chronic pain conditions.

Dr. Wagner is an active member of the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians, the California Naturopathic Doctors Association, The Institute for Functional Medicine, the International Society for Environmentally Acquired Illness, The American Osteopathic Association of Prolotherapy Regenerative Medicine and the American College of Nutrition.
