Sally LaMont, ND, LAc

Dr. Sally LaMont loves working with people who are committed to self-care. She believes that properly supporting the body’s profound healing capacities through natural medicine enhances vitality, resolves symptoms, and reduces the risk of chronic disease.

As a naturopathic doctor, she specializes in the treatment of digestive problems, adrenal and thyroid imbalances, female hormonal imbalances, high cholesterol and blood sugar, and “diabesity.” She effectively treats food sensitivities, heartburn, irritable bowel syndrome, weight gain, insomnia, stress and adrenal fatigue, PMS, peri-menopause and menopause, and a range of other conditions.

Dr. LaMont establishes a deep connection with her patients, exploring how their lifestyle choices, environmental exposures, and genetics contribute to their health problems. She uses state of-the-art laboratory testing to identify the underlying triggers and develops personalized treatment protocols to resolve symptoms and reverse disease. She integrates nutritional and botanical medicine with bio-identical hormone replacement therapy, and uses acupuncture and Chinese herbs as foundational therapies to reduce pain, restore balance, and promote optimal health.

As prior Executive Director of the California Naturopathic Doctors Association, Dr. LaMont led the successful legislative campaign to license naturopathic doctors (NDs) in California, setting professional standards and granting Californians access to naturopathic medical care. In 2001, she was honored as “Physician of the Year” by the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians for her leadership and contribution to shaping health policy in the United States. Known for her passionate delivery, Dr. LaMont has spoken at medical conferences and taught at San Francisco State University and the American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in San Francisco.

Dr. LaMont earned her Doctorate of Naturopathic Medicine in 1981 from the National College of Naturopathic Medicine and her Master of Science in Oriental Medicine in 1986 at Emperor’s College of Traditional Chinese Medicine. She is a member of the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians, the California Naturopathic Doctors Association, The Institute for Functional Medicine and a Diplomat in Acupuncture through the NCCAOM. She has served on numerous boards, including the Marin Health Council, Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine and Health Sciences, and the Advisory Board for Integrative Health Studies at the California Institute of Integral Studies. Her passions in life are cooking, yoga, hiking, traveling, and spending time with her family and friends.

“Getting well again involves learning to listen to your body’s signals. I love to help my patients learn awareness, to identify and understand triggers, and to respond with personalized natural treatment plans.”
